Why this portfolio works
Plenty of money moves through Southern democracy work, but it concentrates in a handful of big national organizations rather than the locally led groups doing the sustained work between election cycles.
We built this portfolio around a specific division of labor: developing Southern leaders for the long term, translating community priorities into state policy, and reaching immigrant communities most Southern civic programs overlook. Each organization has a real track record behind it, and each earned its place over other groups doing similar work. The result is regional power no single organization could build on its own.
