Why this portfolio works

Congregations and faith leaders carry more public trust than almost any other institution, and that trust is rarely turned into organized civic action at the scale it could be.

This portfolio pairs organizations doing genuinely different jobs: defending religious pluralism at the national policy level, turning congregational networks into year-round civic infrastructure, and building Muslim American civic and digital organizing power. Each has a proven track record, and each was selected over other organizations working in the same space for how directly its work reinforces the others. No one organization could turn that trust into action alone. Together, they do.
