Why this portfolio works

People with disabilities face some of the steepest barriers to voting, from inaccessible polling places to laws that go unenforced. Closing those gaps takes more than one kind of advocacy.

Each group in this portfolio was selected for a role none of the others fill: disability-led voter mobilization, legal enforcement of accessibility rights, self-advocacy in policy and design, and access work specific to deaf and blind voters. Every one has a track record of real outcomes, and every one was chosen over other advocacy organizations for how its work strengthens the others. Together, they close more of the accessibility gap than any single organization could alone.
